Kristin Rosales, LMSW is co-owner of Behavioral Health Consultants, LLC. She attended Michigan State University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Family Community Services and her Masters of Social Work with a specialty Certificate in Children, Youth, and Families. Kristin has a wide array of experience and is a highly regarded and knowledgeable clinician. She works with children, teens, and families using an eclectic approach tailored to meet the unique needs of each client and family. She’s been providing high-quality services for over 11 years. Kristin assists clients dealing with a wide range of life circumstances adversities. She uses a strengths-based perspective that is focused on identifying natural supports, inner strengths, and skills to better the clients everyday life. Kristin utilizes a blend of Solution Focused and Client-Centered Therapy while also incorporating elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These advanced methods promote healing and desired change in a unique, gentle and respectful manner.Kristin’s experience as a psychotherapist is varied and extensive. She has worked as an outpatient therapist for children, teens and families across a broad scope of client populations and in a wide range of therapeutic settings (private practice, human services organizations, residential treatment facilities, and a school-based health center). She has expertise in child and adolescent issues, abuse, sexually reactive youth, human trafficking, and sexual trauma. She is competent in facilitating group therapy, as well as prevention and educational seminars. Kristin has been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as, received training from the National Institute for Trauma and Loss. She has been an agency trainer for various topics including Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) and Child and Adolescent Functioning Assessment Scale (CAFAS). Kristin is also a facilitator of Darkness to Light, Stewards of Children, a child abuse prevention curriculum.
